Embrittlement test is performed on reinforcing material (reo bar) to ensure that the structures or part of structures do not crack or instantaneously fracture during bending, fabrication, lifting and in-situ. The most common test method is bend and reverse bend test followed by visual inspection and occasionally supplemented by other confirmatory test methods.
LMATS is NATA accredited for several types of tests on reinforcing materials (reo bars).
Contact LMATS Melbourne or Sydney testing laboratories for your testing requirements on reo bars.
